Corporate Video Production: Subaru’s Cocoon Garden at Salisbury Hospital
Great brand storytelling can show how a project evolves and the impact it can have beyond its original purpose. Working with Subaru UK, we documented the Subaru Cocoon Garden at Salisbury Hospital, capturing how the award-winning garden, originally created for an event at Hampton Court Palace, has been repurposed to benefit patients and hospital staff. Through interviews and visuals of the garden in its new setting, the film highlights the value of therapeutic outdoor spaces and the positive role they can play within a hospital environment.
Telling a Meaningful Story in One Day
Over a single day on location, we captured interviews with Dr Olivia Chapple OBE, founder of Horatio’s Garden, and Mike McMahon, designer of the Subaru Cocoon Garden, alongside conversations with hospital staff and patients.
These first-hand perspectives helped tell the story behind the garden, from its original design to its new role within the hospital. Alongside the interviews, we filmed the completed installation and the surrounding garden spaces, capturing how the Cocoon Garden had been integrated into its new environment.
A Small Crew, A Complete Production
As with many of our productions, the shoot was delivered by a small, agile crew. This approach allowed us to capture interviews, supporting video footage and photography within one production day, while remaining responsive to the needs of the location and the people involved.
The deliverables included a three-to-five-minute main film, shorter social media edits and supporting imagery showcasing the garden and its new setting. Together, these assets provided Subaru UK with a versatile collection of content for use across multiple channels.
Storytelling Beyond the Automotive Sector
For us, the project demonstrates how a focused production team can deliver a considered, multi-format content package in a single day, combining efficient production with people-led storytelling to create meaningful content for a brand.
